A couple of weeks ago I shot my first senior session. It wasn't a paying gig, but was a favor for a buddy. Nevertheless, I was excited for the opportunity. Of course, senior portraits are just that - portraits, but there is a certain element of youthful exuberance and excitement. Not only does this time signal the end of a primary developmental phase and societal obligation, it's the opportunity to capture a state of hopefulness and the beginnings of an individual's physical and mental maturation into adulthood. Well, I don't know that I captured any of that, but I had a fantastic time trying - and to share it with such an intelligent, talented, and beautiful young woman was an honor.
